It is so easy to get caught up in the duty and responsibility of life.
Lists and actions. Lists and actions. Lists and actions.
The cycle repeats itself daily and this wonderful masculine energy allows us to plan and execute so that we can juggle work, home life, friendships, DIY, exercise, diets and many more daily and somewhat tedious jobs. It is creative, positive, physical, yang energy, air, fire and the power of the Sun. Achieving goals, finalising plans and creating new opportunities are wonderfully satisfying but it requires endless energy. And sometimes the road is long before we reach that goal and the continued actioned points become relentless and monotonous, and we need to rebalance the masculine and feminine energy within us.
There are very few people that have this limitless masculine energy and most of us will burnout and be unable to carry on. It is essential that we have the feminine energy to counteract this masculine energy so that we remember our own needs and that our own self-care is needed. Feminine energy is receptive, spiritual, intuitive, yin energy, earth, water and the power of the Moon. Taking a moment to enjoy the peace and quiet, a deep breath in meditation and relaxing as you purposefully go with the flow fills our inner cup of energy and helps increase our life force. There has to be a balance between enjoying the moment and making things happen. After all, life is supposed to be enjoyable.
Kundalini is a Sanskrit term which describes the raw vital energy force that is coiled at the bottom of the spine within the root chakra which is waiting to be awoken. It is believed that as the chakra is awakened the two serpents uncoiling from the base of the Caduceus encircle one another until they reach the top of the head where enlightenment is attained.
These two serpents are Ida (the feminine, cool white lunar energy) and Pingala (the masculine, yellow, sun-like energy). The caduceus image totally encapsulates the idea of balancing feminine and masculine energies within our own body and in our lives.
There are some easy, lovely exercises that we can do with crystals and just by spending a couple of minutes a day you can help rebalance the masculine/feminine energies within you. Everyone is made up of these different types of energies and a balance must be maintained to find happiness and contentment in everyday life.
Guided meditation to ensure all our chakras are energised helps ensure our hara/sushumna line is unblocked. This can be achieved with a clear quartz point pulling earth energy up our bodies and universal energy down our bodies. My clear quartz guided meditation is perfect for this and ideal as a weekly exercise.
Many complementary crystals balance the masculine and feminine within us. Snow quartz is the feminine crystal to the masculine clear quartz. Aquamarine is the feminine crystal to the masculine morganite. Boji stones are made up of a rougher masculine dark stone, as opposed to the smoother feminine stone. By simply holding these separately, the feminine crystal within the non-dominant hand and the masculine crystal in the dominant hand, and simply spending some quiet time focusing on the heat that this creates within your hands will help adjust your balance.
So, when you find yourself overwhelmed with all the jobs you have to do please take a moment with yourself and do one of the simple exercises described. This will readdress the balance and you will be enabled to not only tick off those jobs but also pencil in some you time to fill up your inner well of energy.
