Imbolc: When the Earth Begins to Breathe Again

Imbolc is one of the four Celtic fire festivals, sitting between the darkness of winter and the brightness of spring. It is a celebration of hope, potential, and the unseen growth happening beneath the surface.

Traditionally, Imbolc honoured:

  • The returning light
  • The first signs of lambing and fertility
  • The purification of home, body, and spirit

It is not a festival of action – but of preparation. Just as seeds are not yet visible, our intentions do not need to be fully formed. Imbolc asks only that we listen.

In Celtic spirituality, Brigid presided over this threshold – reminding us that healing and creation require space, patience, and trust.

Modern life often pushes us to rush ahead. Imbolc gently calls us back:

  • To honour rest as sacred
  • To clear what no longer serves
  • To tend to our inner landscape before blooming outward
🌿 This is the essence of retreat work.

Stepping away from the noise. Returning to ritual, rhythm, and reconnection.

I am currently weaving the foundations for a Brigid Retreat in 2027, rooted deeply in Celtic wisdom, seasonal living, healing practices, and soulful rest.

This retreat will be for those who:

  • Feel drawn to the old ways
  • Crave depth rather than distraction
  • Want to honour the cycles of life more consciously

✨ Details will be shared soon – but the invitation has already been planted.

Coming Soon.
