I was incredibly honoured to be the Award recipient as the Pamodzi Inspirational Woman of Portsmouth in Health back in 2023.
To be recognised in this way, in the city that I proudly call home, is something I will always treasure.
As a proud Portsmouth girl, this recognition feels especially meaningful. Portsmouth is a city full of incredible people, stories, resilience and heart. It is a place where communities come together, where people support one another and where passionate individuals work every day to make a positive difference.
Celebrating 100 Years of Portsmouth
To celebrate 100 years of Portsmouth, Pamodzi has created a very special exhibition showcasing inspirational women who have helped shape and enrich our city.
I am incredibly proud to be part of this exhibition at Aphex Gallery, alongside so many amazing women who dedicate their time, energy and passion to making Portsmouth a better place to live.
Walking amongst these stories is truly inspiring. Each woman represents something unique—whether through healthcare, creativity, community work, education, business or simply through the kindness and compassion they share with others.
A Celebration of Sisterhood
One of the things I love most about this exhibition is the sense of sisterhood.
It is a reminder that when women support women, incredible things happen.
Every person featured has their own journey, challenges and achievements. Together, these stories create a powerful reflection of the strength, determination and compassion that exists within our city.
I feel so proud to stand alongside these inspirational women.
