Within my everyday life rituals; I tend to use smoke, smells and noise to change my moods of myself and others around me. A good song on the radio that I sing along to definitely raises my energy for the day ahead. Similarly, if I use incense throughout the house everything feels cleansed and the energy feels stable again ready to face whatever challenges we hold for the week ahead. I absolutely love using my Tibetan tingshas on everyone (humans and animals!) that comes into my house; I even have some Buddha bells hanging on a door frame which means every visitor whether it’s a family member, client or delivery driver inevitably knocks into these. A smell that reminds me of Summer; whether its cut grass, strawberries or cut lemon, it elevates my mood.
This isn’t an original idea or a new concept that I have designed. The use of bells, incense, singing and water has been used in ceremonies throughout the ages. Pagans, Christians, Muslim, Jews, Hindus and Buddhist’s chanting or singing together raises the roof, incense and water cleanses the spirit and praying empowers us. This is not surprising as we are all energetic vessels, we radiate an electromagnetic field and it is these layers of our ‘aura’ that interact with one another and our physical body to influence our overall health and wellbeing.
If our vibrational frequencies (vibes) are pulsating with anger you will notice that everyone will avoid you as they can instinctively tap or feel that unwelcoming frequency. Just as easily if you’re feeling positive and happy you will attract laughter and fun in someone who is feeling the same way. Simple tools can be used in daily practice to help cleanse your aura and raise your vibration. The laws of attraction will in turn attract you to similar vibrational frequencies so if you want your day to go well it is really important to become more self-disciplined in positive affirmations, meditation and visualisation. But you can also use a shower to wash away negativity, put your favourite song on to dance to in the kitchen, write your feelings down in a journal releasing them onto paper or spend five minutes watering the garden and feeling grounded.
Begin the journey of taking time to do these good things everyday and if you wake up feeling a little down or disheartened reach for a tambourine and make your energy work for YOU!
